Title: DevOps Engineer
Department: Software development
Work within the development organization to engineer
infrastructure, tools, and best practices to improve client experience and
operational efficiency. Work collaboratively with software engineering to
deploy and automate cloud applications, services, and infrastructure. Build and
maintain tools to support the development and deployment of healthcare services
in the cloud.
Automate deployment of applications and infrastructure as
part of the application development process.
Develop and support internal tools and services to
integrate, deploy, and operate applications.
Work throughout the software development life cycle to ensure
applications are scalable, available, efficient and performant.
Able to reason logically and creatively, identifying
problems, drawing valid conclusions from the data available, and recommend
Skilled at breaking problems down into component parts,
identifying the core issue, and applying existing and proven patterns to

Able to distill technical concepts clearly and concisely for

2-4 Years in Software development
1-3 Years of experience in a DevOps role supersedes
experience in development and administration.
Experience in shell scripting and a language like Python.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible,
Puppet, Chef, and containerization technologies. Docker, AWS is important.
Understanding of the Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience managing and deploying windows or Linux
applications and infrastructure.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases like
PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Experience with deploying and managing applications within
public cloud providers like AWS
Built and tested software using Jenkins or similar
continuous integration systems
Bachelor's Degree (four years’ college or technical school)
Or equivalent work experience
